Straight from their mouths...

As most of you know I have 5 year old twin boys.  I've been told several times that I should write down the things they say.  Here is a preview:

'C' - "Does my breath smell good?  I washed it with soap when I was taking a bath."
'A' - "Nice moms let their kids have drinks and food whenever they want."
'A' - "Mama, I love you fifty hundred and sixty-six."
'C' - Response to being told it's time for bed. "Oh come on Dad, another week please."
'A' - Response to being asked what he wants for dinner.  "Snake."
'C' - Response to being asked what he wants for dinner.  "Shark steaks."
'A' - "Mama, I got this wart because ducks came in my room while I was sleeping and bit me."
'C' - "Last time we went to the beach, a shark bit me. I felt it under the water."
'A' - "Granny, will you please make me a corn on a stick?" (Corndog)
'C' - "I love you little lizard." (As he affectionately rubs it against his face.)
**The next two responses are when 'A' lost his first tooth.**
'A' - "My brother's tooth came out. I don't know who hit him. But it wasn't me."
'C' - "When are my teeth going to break off like my brothers so the tooth fairy will bring me money too?"

I hope someday their children will bring them as much joy as they bring me.

  1. I love hearing what kids say and wish I had written those kinds of things down when mine were little!

  2. LOL Kids say the darnest things, huh? My youngest doesn't like reading. It's a HUGE struggle for him with his visual processing challenge. Before reading he's been saying, "I wish reading didn't RESIST!" I have explained to him that it's "exist", but he keeps using "resist". LOL Anyway, thanks for stopping by Our Side!

  3. Resist... Hahahaha, too funny! My mom is one of the people who told me to write these things down. She's always saying she wished she had wrote the crazy things we said down. I figured, what better place than a blog. LOL. Have a wonderful day.

  7. How fun! I have been looking around your blog and will be your newest member as soon as I finish this! So glad that you stopped by mine. Kids are the best. My granddaughter was waiting on her bubba to tell her something... and I heard her say "I'm not getting any younger here!" lol I have a notebook where I write her comments down. She is 6 and is a mess! We have been having a fun week!
    until next time... nel
